Terms of Service

By signing in to Bingeroll or creating an account, in the app or on the website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. That is what "By continuing, you agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy" on the sign-in screen means. If you do not agree, please do not use Bingeroll.

You must be 13 or older to use Bingeroll. If you are under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission where the law requires it. If we learn that someone under 13 has an account, we delete it.

• Give accurate sign-in details and keep your password and sign-in methods to yourself.
• An account is for one person. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
• Pick a username and display name that do not pretend to be someone else, break someone's rights or offend. We may ask you to change one, or change it ourselves, if it breaks these rules.
• Profiles are public. Anyone can see your profile, library, ratings and activity, as the Privacy Policy explains.
• If you think someone else is using your account, e-mail us straight away.

Please do not:

• break the law, or use Bingeroll to help someone else break it;
• harass, threaten or impersonate anyone, or post hateful, sexual or violent content;
• post spam, malware or links meant to trick people;
• try to get into other people's accounts or parts of Bingeroll you are not allowed into;
• scrape, copy in bulk or automatically collect data from Bingeroll, or use it to build another database or service;
• overload, disrupt or reverse-engineer Bingeroll, or get around its security or limits.

Your content is what you add to Bingeroll: your profile, username, bio and avatar, your library, statuses, progress and ratings, the people you follow and the activity they create. It stays yours.

So that Bingeroll can work, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, display and share your content inside Bingeroll, including showing it publicly on your profile and in other people's feeds. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for your past activity and ratings, which stay shown as "Deleted user", and for copies kept for a short time in our encrypted backups, as the Privacy Policy explains.

We may remove content or usernames that break these terms, without notice where we need to act quickly. If you see something that breaks them, e-mail support@bingeroll.com.

Titles, synopses, posters and other title details come from TMDB (movies, TV and anime). Anime season and episode groupings use anime-offline-database, an open dataset. Where-to-watch information for movies and TV comes from JustWatch through TMDB. That data belongs to those services and their contributors and is used under their terms. It is not ours to license to you, so do not copy it out of Bingeroll. The exception is our own anime data (our corrections and season groupings, which hold no TMDB content): we publish it as open files you may reuse under the license named below.

This product uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB.

Contains information from anime-offline-database (cedya77, based on manami-project), made available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Our corrections and anime season data are shared under the same license.

The TMDB logo appears in the website footer and in the app's Settings.

Bingeroll is a catalog of movies, TV and anime, including titles with mature themes such as violence, strong language and sexual content. Titles, images and descriptions come from third-party data sources and are shown as provided. Explicit adult titles are excluded. We do not produce or endorse any of the titles listed.

We may publish or share aggregated, de-identified statistics, such as the most-tracked anime of a season or how many people use Bingeroll. They are combined across many people and cannot reasonably be linked back to you.

You can stop using Bingeroll and delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people or Bingeroll at risk, and we will tell you why unless the law or safety stops us. We may also change or stop Bingeroll, or parts of it; if we shut it down, we will try to give you notice first.

Bingeroll is free and provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running and accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or that title data, episode counts, release dates or where-to-watch details are correct or complete. They come from the services above and can change. This does not affect any rights you have under laws that cannot be excluded.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data, lost profits or lost time, and our total liability to you for any claim about Bingeroll is limited to US$50.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and of the United States. If you use Bingeroll as a consumer, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer protection laws where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live.

If a disagreement comes up, please e-mail us first. Most problems can be sorted out that way.

When we change these terms, we update the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change is material, we will also tell you in the app or on the website before it takes effect. If you keep using Bingeroll after a change takes effect, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can delete your account.
